Whirlpool UK Appliances Limited, parent company to KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Hotpoint and Indesit, has been nominated in the Business Excellence Award category at the Motor Transport Awards 2019.
The Motor Transport Awards are designed to celebrate the excellence in the road freight transport industry. The Business Excellence Award category honours companies that promote best working practices, offer exceptional employee development programmes and corporate social responsibility initiatives, including caring for the environment. The 33rd Motor Transport Awards will be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane on 3rd July 2019.
Whirlpool UK is the only major domestic appliance manufacturer to operate a home-delivery service directly to consumers. The company’s logistics division, Hotpoint Home Solutions (HHS), is one of the largest delivery services of white goods in Britain, delivering almost one million products annually. Whirlpool UK’s logistics service provides national deliveries, including Northern Ireland, with a full seven-day provision. In addition, the cut-off time for next day delivery is 1800 hours. HHS also offers installation on all freestanding and built-in electrical appliances (excluding cooker hoods).
Hotpoint Home Solutions boasts its very own, fully accredited, in-house training team. There is a purpose-built training academy, with classrooms, a fleet area, connection rooms and even a live training home.
Karen Slack, Senior Project Manager, Whirlpool UK Appliances Limited says: “We are delighted to be nominated for the Motor Transport Awards 2019 as this represents and celebrates the hard work and dedication of everyone in the Whirlpool UK logistics team. We are looking forward to the awards ceremony in July.”
