K2 Space is 10 years old

K2K2 Space is celebrating its tenth birthday this week. Founded by Geoff Osman and Mark Phillips on 1st June 2004, K2 Space provides office design, fit out and furniture solutions. The company is a leading dealer for furniture brands Kimball, Teknion and Vitra among others.

Over the last decade the company has worked for a range of clients, helping ad agencies to private equity firms with their office fit out and furniture needs. Phillips commented: “We’ve had a great ten years and have grown clients and revenues, year on year. We’re a service company, dedicated to delivering for our clients and our relationships with them are crucial.”

Theresa Stafford is office manager for corporate finance at US investment bank William Blair and has worked with K2 Space since they started trading. “K2 Space is now like an extension of our team. We trust them to interpret our brief and manage the delivery of our requirements, be it finding a small number of new office chairs to helping us totally refurbish a new office.”

K2 Space is based in Islington and handily placed for nearby Clerkenwell, which is home to many leading UK and international furniture brands. The company employs over 15 full-time staff with the first recruit, customer services manager Louisa Biddulph still with the company. Biddulph added: “Back in 2004, it was a very hands on culture for the three of us. That essence of doing what needs to be done for our clients is still very much part of how we work, but now we have teams of office interior designers, furniture consultants, project managers and contractors helping to manage projects from start to finish.”

Osman adds: “We continue to grow and are now in a position to help clients with small or large spaces and also able to deliver projects on a local, national and international scale.”
Recent client wins include providing office furniture for Beats new London office to the design and furniture for a 20,000 sq ft space for Nuance Communications in Vienna.
