Holloways of Ludlow are delighted to announce that they were chosen by The British Fashion Council to supply a range of striking designer table lamps within the new-look reception area at London Fashion Week, which runs from the 15-19th February 2013.
The creative installation, designed by leading production agency Blonstein & Associates, showcases seven striking Tolomeo Mega Table Lights with parchment shades that are displayed on tables within the reception of the host venue, Somerset House.
The Tolomeo Mega Table Lamps, designed by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fascine in 1987 for Artemide, were the perfect choice for the design team at Bronstein & Associates as they wanted to upgrade the look and feel of the main reception area using ambience lighting that could be easily displayed within the desk registration area, without installing or fixing lights to the architecture of the historical space.
“When our creative team at Blonstein & Associates started planning the new-look reception area for London Fashion Week, we knew we wanted to create a permanent, luxurious feel to the space and the right lighting was key to this. Due to Somerset House being a grade one listed building, we needed to find a lighting solution that could be temporarily installed without any permanent fixings – Holloways of Ludlow’s Tolomeo Mega Table lights were perfect because they create the elegant illusion of a suspended light fitting that is synonymous with quality and style”. Brian Jones, Blonstein & Associates
The Tolomeo Mega table lamp features a fully adjustable arm structure in polished aluminum that allows the user to swing the arm and shade to provide a direct light emission. The Tolomeo Mega table lamp (from £211) is also available with a black satin shade and forms part of the Tolomeo lighting range.
